Some things just go together, you know? Like peanut butter and jelly, or macaroni and cheese, or…kids and Bingo! Am I right?
Bingo has been a favorite game at our house for years. And it’s not just my kids; it’s been a hit every time I’ve played it with any group of kids at birthday parties, church activities, school events, and any regular ol’ day when we decide to pull it out! We’ve used Bingo for learning about money, exploring the library, celebrating Christmas and Halloween, and more. I mean, can you ever have too many Bingo games? I think not.
Bingo is a fabulous learning game because it is simple to learn, can be played with kids of varying ages all together (without giving big kids an advantage over younger kids), and it makes learning FUN!
Since I have such a long-standing love and respect for Bingo, I decided it was high time I created an alphabet bingo game to help kids learn their ABC’s. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or caregiver, this resource is a fantastic addition to your collection of educational games.

Downloading Your Free Printable:
To get started, simply click the download button below to access your free printable Alphabet Bingo cards.
What you need to know about this set:
- There are 10 different game boards with 24 letters on each one (plus a free space), so each board will be missing two letters. Can your child figure out which ones are missing?! It’s a fun bonus challenge.
- It includes calling cards for both uppercase and lowercase letters. For beginners, I recommend using uppercase to keep it simple. However, as kids master the uppercase letters, try using the lowercase calling cards to help them learn which uppers and lowers go together.
- The game boards are full page-sized, so you don’t have a bunch of extra cutting. Yay!
- They are bright and fun, but use minimal ink (because I hate needlessly using a ton of ink).
How to Play Alphabet Bingo:
You probably know how to play Bingo, but in case you need a step-by-step, here you go!
- Print the cards: Once you’ve downloaded the file, print out the Alphabet Bingo game cards and calling cards on cardstock (laminate them for durability if possible). Cut out the calling cards.
- Prepare the markers: Gather small Bingo markers. We like to use items like buttons, coins, or even cereal pieces.
- Distribute the cards: Hand out a Bingo card to each player. Shuffle the calling cards to ensure a random distribution of letters.
- Play the game: Designate one person as the “caller.” This person will randomly call out letters from the alphabet. Players mark the called letters on their cards. The first player to complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row shouts “Bingo!” and is the winner.

Variations for Added Fun:
- “What starts with…?” Bingo: When someone gets Bingo, have them name something that starts with each of the letters in their “bingo.” This variation enhances vocabulary while reinforcing letter recognition.
- Reverse Bingo: Instead of calling out letters, call out words that start with a specific letter, and players mark the corresponding letter on their cards. Or, say a sound the letter makes instead of the letter name. Keep in mind, some letters (especially vowels) can make more than one sound, but it can be a great way to talk about that important concept.
- Speed Bingo: Increase the excitement by setting a timer. Players must fill their cards within a specific time limit, adding a sense of urgency to the game.
- Team Bingo: Create teams and have players work together to fill their cards. The first team to get a Bingo wins.
Learning the alphabet doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun adventure with this Free Printable Alphabet Bingo game. Download your set today, and watch as the little ones in your life have a blast mastering their ABCs.
