Well, Hello!

Hi, I’m Meg, an English teacher who traded teaching Shakespeare for exploring the world (or at least my backyard) with my three energetic boys (ages 12, 10, and 7). We live in the suburbs of Salt Lake City, Utah where we spend lots of time hiking, biking, playing board games, and reading piles of books.

My goal is simple: to help you create create more memorable moments at home that strengthen your family and help your kids grow into creative, curious, and capable humans…all without the overwhelm!

Complicated projects? I don’t have time for those. I’m guessing you don’t either. Around here, we’re all about low-prep (or, even better, NO prep) activities, easy recipes, and practical parenting tips.

Parenting is not for the faint of heart, especially in today’s fast-paced world. But with a little creativity, you can make lasting memories with your kids and set them up for success in school and life. I’m here to give you the tools, cheer you on, and celebrate the little victories along the way.

Practical Tips

Real-life advice for managing your home and raising curious, creative, and capable kids—without adding more to your plate.

My Story…

I have loved learning for as long as I can remember. I was lucky enough to grow up in a home that had bookshelves in every room, and a mom who encouraged me to create and explore. And, yes, I was the nerdy kid who shelved books in the library during recess just because I loved it so much.

Not surprisingly, I became an English teacher. I loved my career, middle school antics and all, and the only thing that convinced me to leave the classroom was my desire to be at home with my own kids.

When my oldest son was born in 2012, I was excited to stay home and give him the kind of childhood I had enjoyed. But transitioning to full-time motherhood was tough—so much laundry, so little adult conversation—and as much as I loved my son, I felt a little lost for awhile.

In 2015, I started The Many Little Joys as a way to connect with other moms navigating the challenges of parenting. Almost a decade later, I’m still sharing simple ideas to help busy families make the most of the time they have together!

Because motherhood isn’t really about the endless laundry or the overflowing diaper pail. It’s about nurturing a human being–introducing them to the world and teaching them the skills they will need to make the world a better place. And it doesn’t have to be complicated!

So stick around…I’ll help you simplify the journey, add some fun, and make parenting more joyful!
