If you’ve been around here for long, you know my youngest son is an aspiring artist, and it turns out he had strong opinions about what he wanted his class valentines to look like this year. Thankfully, he also has a great eye for design, so we had great fun playing around on Canva together to make these cards.

I’ve made several printable valentines over the past several years, and I love sharing them here on the blog. This year’s design is my new favorite, and here’s why:

What to Include with These Valentines
I’m a big proponent of NOT spending a bunch of money on classroom valentines. My goal is to make things fun and festive for under $10 for each class set of valentines. That’s not a lot, but it really is doable!
These joke valentines are cute enough to stand on their own, but we decided to use our 3D printer (which the kids have been loving since we got it a few months ago) to make some fun heart-shaped fidget toys to go on top. But you don’t have to have a 3D printer! Here are some other ideas for gifts you could add to the cards:
We put our little heart toys over the top of the hearts on the card, so that the answer to the joke is revealed when you remove the toy. My son was really proud of himself for thinking of that!
