Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which means it’s time for family, food, and—let’s be honest—a little help keeping the kids entertained! Creating a holiday feast takes time and energy, and it can be really helpful to have a few super easy, no-prep activities for my kids to enjoy while I’m busy cooking up a storm.

What is Sudoku?
If you’re new to sudoku, it’s a type of logic puzzle that involves filling in blank squares within a partially completed grid. The goal is to ensure that each row, column, and section contains each image only once. It’s a simple but engaging way to build logic skills, and it can get surprisingly challenging!
Most often, sudoku uses numbers, but after my oldest discovered a picture sudoku in one of his magazines a few years ago, I thought, “I could make something like that!” I created a Hallowen-themed version of sudoku that my boys immediately loved, and I followed it up with Christmas and winter themed sudoku puzzles, too.
This year, I decided it was time to make a Thanksgiving Sudoku!
How We Used Our Thanksgiving Sudoku Puzzles
I handed out these puzzles as a Thanksgiving-themed activity on a Saturday afternoon, and as soon as my boys saw them come off the printer, they grabbed pencils and dove right in! It was so fun watching them work together to solve the puzzles (they each had their own copy, but they ended up working together).
